The Minister of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fishery of the Republic of Ecuador, Ms. Maria Sonsoles Garcia and Ambassador of Ecuador in Qatar, Mr. Pascual Del Cioppo met with Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammad Al-Thani and the Qatar Chamber Board to discuss boosting trade.

The Minister Garcia showcased development projects in mining, gas, solar, and wind energy, along with new trade markets for coffee, berries, avocado, fish, and tuna. Import volumes are set to rise, especially for bananas, plantains, roses, dragon fruit, and cocoa pods.

Qatar Chamber expressed keen interest in investing in Ecuador’s Free Zones, leveraging President Daniel Noboa Azin’s pro-business policies for job creation.

The meeting, attended by Vice Minister Jose Villena, highlighted the strong economic and legal framework under President Noboa’s leadership.
