Ecuadorian community in New York celebrates the National Flag Day
As part of the celebrations of the National Flag Day, which is commemorated in Ecuador on September 26, the Ecuadorian community in New York held several events, among which stands out the “Great Ecuadorian Night Music”, to will attend as a special guest, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility, Ricardo Patiño.
As reported by the Consulate General of Ecuador in New York, the memorial can “recognize the need to highlight the importance of the national flag, promoting the recognition of values, customs, traditions, history and symbols of the country with the community migrant”.
The Flag Day in Ecuador is celebrated to commemorate the September 26, 1860, when President Gabriel García Moreno ruled the adoption of the Gran Colombia tricolor flag i.e. yellow, blue and red.
