Ambassador José María Borja presented credentials in the Popular Republic of China
José María Borja López, career diplomat from the Ecuadorian Foreign Service, presented on December 17th, to the President of the popular Republic of China, Hu Jintao, the Credentials that accredit him as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ecuador in China.
President Hu Jintao, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Jian Jiechi, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affaris, Zhang Kunsheg and the general Director of Latin American and the Caribbean, Shen Zhinliang, gave the welcoming to Ambassador Borja, once giving the vows for the success in his duties.
Ecuador´s counselor in Beijing, Miguel Vasco, the Defense Attaché of Ecuador in China, Cornel Fabián Fuel, and the Ministers of the Ecuadorian Diplomatic mission; were part of the ceremony.
Ambassador Borja manifested to China´s Head of State, the greeting of president Rafael Correa, highlighting the coincidence that both Governments have in aiming their foreign politic towards maintaining world peace, favor the reform process of the united Nations and propelling the regional integration, a transcendental topic for the interest of Latin America, reaching now the UNASUR and the CELAC.
In the same way, he pointed out the participation of Chinese enterprises in projects of infrastructure carried out in Ecuador, within the context of projects of strategic development and the efforts aimed to the strengthening of the cooperation, especially in matters of science and technology, in this area, we hope China is a substantial support based on their experience.
